Canberra based Senior Account Manager
About the Role
Location: Canberra. The role will involve some travel within APAC.
The role requires you to:
• sell product and services to meet agreed targets
• work closely with our Sydney and Canberra consulting teams to:
• identify new opportunities to grow and further enhance our relationships with new, existing and past clients
• constantly establish and maintain industry contacts generating new leads
• successfully respond to tenders, and
• orchestrate the sales and account management processes from lead identification through to close
• sell product and services to meet agreed targets
• work closely with our Sydney and Canberra consulting teams to:
• research, develop and maintain a sales pipeline in our CRM system
• work with partners and distributors to extend our selling ability
• forge excellent working relationships with prospects, customers, partners and staff
• drive the proposal process and any correspondence with the prospect
• be accountable for the legal aspects of sales including NDAs, contracts, and SOWs
• maintain and demonstrate up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments
• represent Castelain at events to promote our services
• use innovative technologies to market Castelain and its products and services, and
• successfully and professionally deliver presentations to key clients.
About You
It is essential that you:
• have expertise in information security
• be broadly knowledgeable about identification and access management, secure messaging and data leakage prevention
• have an established list of contacts in medium-large organisations
• have proven ability to generate sales over $3M per annum
• have demonstrated success in closing negotiating contracts up to $5M
• have an an ability to place the business issues in a technical context
• have impeccable client-facing skills including verbal presentations and written documentation
• be a strong team-player who doesn’t shirk personal responsibility
• be approachable, have a sense of humour and be very comfortable meeting new people and interacting with various levels of seniority and technical capability
• be people and issue savvy
• be an expert listener: communicating professionally, honestly and transparently
• be solution and performance oriented
• show initiative and not be hesitant to take ownership of problems
• know how to prioritise and are a self-starter in relation to effective time management
• be skilled at closing deals
• be action oriented and persevere in the face of impediments whilst understanding the importance of sensitivity to appropriate due process, and
• are trustworthy and known for your integrity and composure. The way in which you deliver is as important as what you are delivering.
