Department of Industry, Tourism and Resources

The Department of Industry Tourism and Resources (DITR) has a number of projects which aim to simplify the process of dealing with the government electronically. Castelain has worked with DITR on several of these projects, including piloting systems for the issue and management of digital credentials with Engineers Australia and other organisations.

In a separate engagement, Castelain undertook a major update and overhaul of DITR IT security policy and risk management systems for DITR's IT Security team. The overhaul was related to a change in DITR's outsourcers.

VANguard authentication system

DITR is developing VANguard to provide validation, authentication and notary services to facilitate online business with government agencies. This will benefit both businesses and individuals that electronically deal with these government agencies and will also reduce infrastructure costs to the government.

Castelain has been engaged by DITR to help develop the PKI required for the VANguard system.
